Welcome to My Wellness Journey: Introducing With Blu the podcast

Hello and welcome! I’m Briana, a Clinical Naturopath, and I’m thrilled to launch my very first episode—and now, this blog—to share my passion for holistic health, gut wellness, and empowering women to take charge of their wellbeing.

Who Am I?

With a Bachelor of Health Science in Naturopathy and two years of clinical practice, I’ve had the privilege of working with hundreds of women on a range of health concerns—from gut and skin issues to hormonal imbalances. My one-on-one work with clients has been incredibly rewarding, but I wanted to create a space where I could dive deeper into topics, clarify common health myths, and provide evidence-based information in a more informal, accessible way.

What Is Naturopathy?

Naturopathy is all about treating the root cause of health concerns, not just masking symptoms. While symptom relief is important, my focus is on understanding the underlying drivers—whether it’s bloating, skin issues, or hormonal changes. Every person is unique, with different lifestyles, nutritional needs, and responsibilities. That’s why I tailor my approach to each individual, using a combination of nutritional advice, lifestyle changes, supplementation, and herbal medicine.

My Approach

I believe in balance. Restrictive diets are a last resort, only considered when absolutely necessary. My own health journey—overcoming gut and skin issues, and healing my relationship with food—inspired me to become a naturopath. I know firsthand how overwhelming and confusing health information can be, especially with so much conflicting advice online.

Instead of demonizing foods or promoting “one size fits all” solutions, I encourage a well-balanced diet that includes room for enjoyment. It’s about building a foundation of whole, real foods, and understanding how your body responds to different choices.

The Importance of Testing and Individualization

Functional testing and pathology labs can be valuable tools to dig deeper into persistent health issues. I look at results through an optimal lens—not just aiming for “not sick,” but for true wellness. My goal is to help you understand your body, so you can make informed decisions and maintain your health long-term.

Why I Started This Podcast (and Blog)

My own struggles with gut health, skin issues, and diet culture led me to research, experiment, and eventually study naturopathy. I want to share what I’ve learned—both from my education and personal experience—to help others avoid the confusion and frustration I faced.

This space is about empowerment, not judgment. I want you to feel heard, validated, and supported. Whether you’re dealing with IBS, food sensitivities, or just want to feel better in your body, I’m here to provide evidence-based information and practical tips.
